Overview

Produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, *Toy Story 5* brings back the iconic toy heroes for a new adventure that reflects modern challenges facing play and imagination. 

The story follows Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and the rest of Bonnie’s toy collection as they confront a new kind of threat: a high-tech tablet device named Lilypad, whose arrival challenges the toys’ roles in Bonnie’s life and the future of play itself.

Plot & Themes

The sequel builds on the emotional legacy of previous *Toy Story* films while exploring a fresh, contemporary conflict: the rise of digital technology and how traditional toys remain relevant in a world dominated by screens. With Bonnie now older and drawn to a smart tablet named Lilypad, the toys must find new ways to stay important in her life.

Early trailers highlight the contrast between classic play and digital distraction, with Woody and the gang facing this “technology challenge” while rediscovering the bonds that make them cherished companions in any era.
